Comments: “Huntley and Palmer” along with most the other companies, made a lot of tins aimed at the younger market, particularly in the form of toys. Boats, trains, airplanes, cars, buses, games, money boxes and all sort of playthings. This biscuit tin was made to represent a kitchen range with both the doors opening. As the catalogue describes this as a novelty toy, it obviously explains why so few survived, as they must have been well played with! It is in good condition with a little light wear and some of the gilding has disappeared.
