Comments: This dramatic looking little tin is coloured bright red, black and cream and was made by “De Andreis et Cie” of Marseille around 1930. It originally held cough pastilles produced by “King-Bull” of Saint Ouen, a northern Paris suburb and it retailed for two Francs. Some remnants of the paper seal still remain on the bottom edge.
“Je ne tousse jamais” roughly translates to “I never cough”.
