Comments and other images: This “Macfarlane Lang” sign dates from around 1950 and it is constructed of metal and cardboard covered with a thick plastic film. It shows a nice British tea set and a very austere looking packet of biscuits priced at 11 1/2d, a hap’ penny short of a shilling!
“Rich Tea” is the ideal biscuit for dunking in your tea or coffee and its origins go back to the sixteenth century!
The sign is in excellent condition, it was never used and it can be free standing or it can be hung on a wall.
