Comments: This patriotic British tea tin was made by “Hudson Scott & Sons” for “Ridgway Tea” and dates from 1914. The tin is in very good condition, however the lid has some small marks.
The hinged lid has a picture of the “Secretary of State”, “Field Marshall Sir John French” and “Admiral Sir John Jellicoe” are on the front and back. The sides also show a heroic cavalry charge, two naval ships steaming through the waves, three boy scouts and a couple of nurses.
This tin comes in three sizes of which this is the largest and it is not often branded.
