Comments: These three unusual small cachou tins were made of embossed brass by “Thomas Jackson” the “Inventor & Proprietor” of the “Prince Albert’s Cachous”. These small pieces of candy were designed to “Sweeten the breath. Refresh the mouth after smoking”.
“Prince Albert” was “Queen Victoria’s” beloved husband who died in 1861 and the tins bear his image in profile.
