She was born “Lesley Hornby” in 1949 and when she started her modeling career at the age of 16, she only weighed 90lbs. But she soon made the short haired androgynous look her very own, as created by “Mary Quant” and quickly became a worldwide success!
She is regarded as probably one of the most famous models of all time! The world’s first super model….but boy she was skinny!
She later pursued a career in acting and singing, most famously in the 1971 film “The Boy Friend”.
In 2009 she was back modeling again, now working for “Marks and Spencer”.
This kit allowed every “with it” young girl in the 1960′s to recreate her own “Twiggy” look!
