Comments: This wooden cigar box has a beautiful embossed and highly detailed lithographed paper label inside the lid. It dates from 1900 and the brand is named after the lyric comedy called “Zaza” which was popular at the time and based on a play by “Pierre Berton” with music by “Ruggiero Leon-Cavallo”. The illustration shows the singer “Zaza” seated in front of the mirror in her Parisian boudoir having her hair done by her maid “Natalie” , when her married lover “Dufresne” arrives to see her!
